Publishers' Catalogues Collection Index

The following register is the result of my efforts to give a full and more or less detailed description of my collection of publishing catalogues from all over the world. Collecting catalogues could be of interest in two aspects: it helps to preserve the history of publishing business in everyday features and events that seem to be not so important today, but will surely be significant for future researchers. Collecting catalogues can trace the history of catalogue design as well. I am focusing my attention at the moment on the first aspect, giving the bibliography of catalogues without their images. In future I am going to supply the description with illustrations. The following description of catalogues is being updated constantly. All the items are placed according to the names of the publishers in the alphabetical order. The names of the publishers are given in the language of the original. The titles of the catalogues are given in the language of the original, in some cases supplied with the English translation. A typical article consists of the following parts: 1) publishing house 2) residence 3) country 4) title of the catalogue; if a catalogue has no title the year is given in brackets 5) format 6) binding type 7) colours 8) number of pages; if a catalogue is not paginated the number between the first and the last cover pages is given 9) producer or designer, if mentioned in a catalogue 10) additional information and collector’s commentaries 11) collection registration number.
